Network Aware Policy Engine

Movik’s Network Aware Policy Engine allows mobile operators to create and implement policies across multiple dimensions based on real-time network conditions (e.g. APN, UE, domain, destination, content (video, audio, text), or application (streaming video, web, VoIP, etc.). For the first time, policy enforcement can occur at the edge, allowing mobile operators to associate the value of their mobile broadband service with content or application type, content delivery methods, and subscriber quality of experience QoE.

By enacting policy decisions based upon the correlation between the RAN, the content requested, and the subscriber equipment’s capabilities, operators can avoid resource and delivery mismatches, leading to more efficient use of resources.
